We’ve lined up an incredible array of places to go and things to see while you’re here in our ‘Adventure Package’ itinerary*.

AUCKLAND

Known as the ‘City of Sails’, Auckland is the largest city in New Zealand. Energetic, diverse and full of variety, there is a plethora of exciting attractions in this vibrant city.

Day 1

Start off your trip in the City of Sails by sailing on the water! A whale and dolphin safari upon the beautiful Auckland harbor is sure to kick start your trip on the right foot.

Once disembarked from your adventure, head up the Skytower - the tallest building in New Zealand - for 360 degree views of the city and to experience the thrilling Skywalk on the outside of the building!

Keen for more death-defying acts? Visit Kelly Tarltons Sealife Aquarium and swim with sharks. Now that’s a great story to take back home!

Day 2

A trip to New Zealand is not complete without a day visit to Waiheke Island, a 40 minute ferry ride from Downtown Auckland. Waiheke is home to numerous wineries and vineyards which produce world-famous, award-winning wines.

Try the Day Trip to Waiheke Island: The Essence of Waiheke Wine Tour with Anada tours. Want to see Waiheke from the tree tops? Zoom across the island on the zip line! Finish the day off at one of the top vineyards, Stonyridge, to enjoy a sumptuous dinner overlooking the beautiful winery.

Day 3

Rangitoto is Auckland’s largest volcano and is a beautiful look-out spot to see the sun set over the city. Take a kayak over to the island, go for a hike and enjoy a BBQ dinner, then paddle back in the evening.

Get a good night sleep before your journey continues south towards Rotorua!

Day 4

Today take the hire car and drive to the town of Waitomo (2 hours) to marvel at the Waitomo glow worm caves.

Choose from a number adventure activities to do inside the caves, including the black water rafting experience. Not for the faint of heart!

After the tour, make your way to Rotorua (2.5 hours). Surrounded by volcanoes, Rotorua is renowned for its geothermal activity, hot springs, mud pools, shooting geysers and showcasing our wonderful Maori culture.

ROTORUA

Day 5

A trip to Rotorua is not complete without a day at the thermal springs enjoy some relaxation at Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland to prepare for the next action and adventures in store for you!

That evening, enjoy an authentic Maori Cultural Experience and traditional Maori dinner at the Tamaki Maori Village.

Day 6

Rotorua is full of exciting and unusual activities to try! Take a tumble in the OGO inflatable balls – an exhilarating ride down a hill inside a massive clear ball. Want more nature and scenery? Do the Treewalk, where you’ll be crossing bridges high up in tops of the forest from the bird’s point of view

Thirdly, we recommend doing the Luge – an icon in Rotorua. Part go-cart, part toboggan, the thrilling ride down the track is fun for people of all ages.

QUEENSTOWN

Queenstown is known as the ‘Adventure Capital of the World’. The birth place of the bungy, there are many fun and extreme activities to try while in New Zealand’s premier tourist destination.

Day 7

Start your holiday in Queenstown with the iconic Shotover jet boat ride. Zooming through the waters of the Shotover river, you’ll be both exhilarated, wind-blown and enthralled by the surrounding Queenstown mountains and sceneries.

Ready for another bungy? Head to the world’s original bungy experience, at Kawarau Bridge. Choose to do the zip ride, bungy or the swing... Or all of them!

Day 8

Take a short drive (20 minutes) to the historic town of Arrowtown and get the heart pumping with a bike tour of the quaint little town. We recommend the Ride & Wine tour; reward your hard work with some wine tastings!

Day 9

Queenstown is a popular blockbuster movie filming destination; so take a 4 Wheel Drive tour of locations from The Lord of The Rings trilogy with Glenorchy Journeys. Want more views? Take a Gondola ride up to the Stratosfare Restaurant for dinner to dine in top of the world.

OR

Finish your New Zealand trip on a high and take the Milford Sound day tour and cruise. Spectacular scenery and wildlife watching awaits as you cruise the pristine landscape.

Day 10
