Or rather, the Orient got a taste of FUSION during April at the 18th China International Boat Show, held in Shanghai at the spectacular Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Centre.

Over four action-packed days (11th – 14th April) the show attracted close to 40,000 people from the Chinese and Asian water leisure market. With 48,000sqm of exhibition area, visitors had plenty to get around to see too.

FUSION Electronics had a stand at the show, displaying the latest in marine entertainment systems and showcasing the full FUSION-Link capability.

FUSION’s stand wasn’t the only representation of the brand at the show, however. Visitors were ‘seeing green’ at several other manufacturers stands as our FUSION-Link partners had FUSION units that were compatible with their own products, on display.

Feedback around the FUSION-Link technology was immensely positive and it was hailed as the new era in marine connectivity. We have no doubt that more of the Chinese market will soon be enjoying a simple, integrated entertainment experience that is second to none, even while they are out on the water.

While we were there, we also went sunseeking...

The new FUSION-Link offering, with compatibility to a range of other manufacturers’ Multi-Function Display (MFD) interfaces has opened up the opportunity to partner with some of the world’s leading boat builders and electronic whizzes. One such organisation is the legendary Sunseeker, who have been building luxury motor yachts for almost 40 years.

While in Shanghai, FUSION Electronics were invited to attend a Sunseeker Dealer Training Course to demonstrate FUSION’s extensive range of True Marine 700 Series products and showcase the FUSION-Link capabilities to dealers. In a training segment for dealers, FUSION staff shared their wisdom around troubleshooting techniques and provided service instructions for their reference. The local distributor was also introduced to more local dealers in the area, to allow for greater synergy in that regard.
