FUSION is excited to announce that our new StereoActive, a purpose-built, floating portable marine stereo, has been nominated for the prestigious Design Award METS (DAME) at the Marine Equipment Trade Show (METS) in Amsterdam, to be held November 15-17, 2016.

METS is the world’s largest trade exhibition of equipment, materials and systems for the international marine leisure industry. Attendees and marine professionals from over 50 countries gather annually to take part, for it is the place to be for all the latest innovations and trends in the industry.

StereoActive has been nominated in the category of marine electronics, competing with the best of the best in new marine innovations. The DAME jury carefully assesses entries for design in all of its aspects, including aesthetics, usability, build quality, functionality and use of materials. The jury also take into account other factors to choose a winner, including originality, ergonomics and the price/quality ratio. Being nominated in the DAME Awards is highly-esteemed and cements ourselves as a strong and trusted leader in the marine industry.

“FUSION strongly believes that the industry must attract new people to boating and any product that helps people to have fun and be safe on the water, has to be a benefit to the whole industry. Entertainment is now expected by new customers and we believe that StereoActive will certainly help people enjoy their time on the water,” said Chris Baird, managing director, FUSION Entertainment. “To have StereoActive nominated for a DAME shortly after its launch at Surf Expo in Orlando and following on the heels of an award at PADDLE Expo, is exactly the kind of reception we were hoping for. We are honored to be nominated alongside so many other prestigious companies and look forward to the results of the jury’s deliberation.”

The prestigious METSTRADE DAME Design Awards has been operating for 26 years, and also has a long history of partnering with a charity eah year. This year the fees for entering the DAME Award will go to the AMREF Flying Doctors project called ‘A healthy future for girls in Kilindi’.

FUSION is excited for the METSTRADE DAME awards and we can’t wait to show the world StereoActive when it is released onto shelves in November. Find out more about the StereoActive here
