We’re off to a great start in 2019 with another successful Miami International Boat Show (MIBS)! Held at the Miami Marine Stadium Park & Basin in the picturesque Virginia Keys, it was a fantastic 5 days (14th – 18th Feb) for the Fusion team with stunning attendance, atmosphere and sales.
A couple of key highlights for the show included; the launch of the brand new SLX 350 Outboard and limited edition SLX-R package from Sea Ray Boats. The collaboration between Streamline Boats and Fusion for the ‘Streamline Fusion Listening Experience’. The launch of the new Fusion Signature Series 6 & 8 channel amplifiers and Performance RCA cables, and Garmin showcased their latest 8400 Series Multi-Functional Displays (MFDs).
The Fusion booth had the brand new display stands lit up and loaded with the latest products, topped off with a large eye-catching Fusion logo which acted as a beacon to visitors looking for the latest and greatest in marine audio entertainment. Speaking of new Fusion products, we have just launched two new additions for the Signature Series amplifiers range at MIBS – the 6-channel 1500W and 8-channel 2000W Class-D amplifiers. These powerful amplifiers deliver higher efficiency and output whilst carrying Fusion’s True-Marine accreditation with a 3 year warranty, making them perfect for any boating environment.
Fusion also launched a line of high-quality Performance RCA cables to ensure quality audio signals are maintained across the entire audio chain, reducing unwanted noise and interference for an overall improved audio experience (particularly in a noisy boat environment). The Performance RCA cables use Oxygen Free Copper (OFC) cabling and feature gold-plated connectors to deliver a cleaner, clearer, enhanced audio signal for better sound quality.
This year, Fusion teamed up with Streamline Boats to deliver a listening experience like never before. The ‘Streamline Fusion Listening Experience’ took place at the Streamline Booth out in the water to showcase the power and quality of Fusion products to show goers. As this was in an outdoor environment instead of an indoor exhibition hall, we could really crank up the volume and bass! The Streamline Experience Boat really rocked the scene with its fully integrated Fusion sound system comprised of our award winning Apollo Series stereo and Signature Series speakers.
Streamline Boats also showcased their incredible 45’ Center Console featuring four Mercury Racing Verado 400R outboards, Garmin integrated system package and Fusion entertainment system with Apollo 770 and Signature Series. The Streamline 45’ generated great interest from show goers who were amazed by it’s craftsmanship and sheer scale. We’re excited to see what Streamline comes out with next!
Sea Ray Boats launched their highly anticipated SLX 350 outboard and a limited edition, racing performance version – the SLX-R 350. The SLX-R 350 got all the hype and attention of show goers as it was unveiled in an exclusive event dubbed – the ‘R Experience’. The unveiling took place inside a dimly lit marquee where a sound and light show revealed the SLX-R 350. It truly was an amazing spectacle!
The SLX-R 350 is powered by twin Mercury Racing Verado 400R engines and features design elements and details including; premium carbon fiber accents on the hardtop arch, special-edition Shadow metallic gel paint, upholstery with contrast stitching, red underwater lighting and red accent lighting throughout the vessel. The SLX-R 350 is also decked out with Fusion’s top-of-the-line audio system including the award-winning Apollo 770 and Signature Series.
“The SLX-R is a first for Sea Ray, offering a limited, racing performance version of the SLX 350 Outboard,” said Brad Anderson, Sea Ray President and General Manager. “The SLX-R signals Sea Ray’s emphasis on design and performance, and the feeling of adrenaline. The SLX series was launched to bring a luxury sport boating experience unlike any other to the market.”
Garmin also enjoyed a fantastic show as their booth was buzzing throughout the 5 days. Their latest state-of-the-art 8400 Series Multi-Functional Displays (MFDs) generated a lot of interest from consumers.
Available in 10”, 12” and 16” these MFDs feature a Full HD IPS touchscreen display with built-in support for the full suite of Garmin sonar capabilities. Fully network capable with NMEA2000® connectivity and the Garmin Marine Network for integration with Radar, Autopilots, Instruments and more – allowing you to create the best integrated navigation system on the market!
The 2019 Miami International Boat Show was truly a fantastic show to be apart of, and we’re already looking forward to next year’s show – See you MIBS in 2020!
