Users can now control the Apollo Series on their Furuno TZTouch2 MFD via the embedded Fusion-Link app. New sources specific to the Apollo Series such as Apple AirPlay and UPnP have now been added.
The new update can be downloaded from the Furuno product pages for TZTL12F and TZTL15F. Please note that this update applies to Furuno NavNet TZTouch2 only. An update for Furuno NavNet TZTouch1 will be coming soon..
The network configuration for the Apollo Series and TZTouch2 is the same as the Fusion 755 Series. Ethernet connectivity is configured with a static IP address in the 172.31.xxx.xxx range for Fusion-Link. Other network configurations are also possible; the TZTouch2 MFDs also supports external network routers with DHCP.
The Apollo Series can also be configured as a Wi-Fi access point on Furuno networks, facilitating smartphone connection for Apple AirPlay, DSP configuration and over-the-air Fusion software updates.
