Great tunes and a side of bush tucker

From the 24th – 29th of February the ever popular Melbourne showgrounds played host to the 2016 Victorian Caravan, Camping and Touring Super Show. With an additional 15,000 square meters of exhibition space added to this year’s show there were more caravans, pop-tops, tents, camper trailers, 5th wheelers, motorhomes, campervans and 4×4 off road and touring accessories to convert anyone to the grey nomad lifestyle.

Whether a seasoned outback adventurer or new to the outdoors lifestyle, the vast array of seminars, demonstrations and hands on activities proved a literal directory to the perfect family vacation. To keep the kids or the grandkids entertained the specifically built Caravanning Explorers club offered a flurry of activities including the Star Scream, Cup & Saucer, Fun House Maze and a massive rock climbing wall.

For the adrenaline junkies the Isuzu D-Max Iron summit proved both a crowd pleaser and a spectacle to witness. Those who dared to enter the D-Max were treated to a perspective of the world usually reserved for cliff divers. With music pumping the D-Max and its occupants balanced on two wheels as it jolted up and over the world’s steepest 4WD ramp – those who experienced it called it a great rush!

FUSION has steadily increased its presence in the Australian RV and camper market over the past few years and has already won over some prestigious brands such as Jayco, Ultimate, Patriot, On the Move and more with its leading line of outdoor tested entertainment products. It was evident throughout the show that FUSION is becoming the preferred choice based on the number of products on display in Melbourne. Those who somehow managed to miss the music from the FUSION booth could enjoy any number of pre-installed FUSION systems on the campers on display.

Designed and engineered specifically to counter the effects of water, salt, humidity and UV exposure, it is easy to see why Australia’s leading Camper, RV and camper trailer manufacturers choose FUSION. By incorporating the latest technology FUSION can improve the holiday experience for all occupants onboard – Great features like zone control, which allows the user to set varying levels of music inside and outside the camper make relaxing or partying possible inside a single shared space. New functionality such as app control and support for DAB radio let the user roam the space while listening to their favourite music station.

Making its debut at the Super Show was the newly released 70 series which offers great playback functionality including Bluetooth streaming, USB MP3 support, Apple and Android connectivity, AM/FM listening and support for the new MS-DAB100A DAB radio module and antenna package.

The MS-RA70 features support for the innovative FUSION-Link Bluetooth remote control app that allows both streaming of your favourite music and zone audio control direct from an Apple or Android smartphone.

A featured packed stereo source unit is only half the equation and for the best reproduction of music you need the best speakers for the job, luckily FUSION has the answer. The Signature series of speakers and subwoofers are designed specifically to cater to the ears of the most discerning audiophile.

Whether you’re an AC/DC, Crowded House, Little River Band, Air Supply or a Bee Gees fan, the superior materials and engineering practices used to form the Signature Series will create a truly musical listening experience. Also engineered with the environment in mind, these speakers find themselves at home both inside or outside any camper.

After stopping by the FUSION booth for a boogie, showgoers had an abundant number of activities to squeeze in over the 5 day show period.

Some of the popular activities included a great taste test of some NT-inspired bush tucker, patting the friendly camels, posing for photos with an array of native NT snakes and reptiles and taking part in some awe inspiring basket weaving demonstrations.

Located right under the Pie in the Sky, the What’s Up Downunder Go Make Some Memories Live Stage had a great line-up of live music, interviews with the stars of What’s Up Downunder and industry professionals.

If you missed the 2016 show, not to worry the FUSION team and the Victorian Caravan, Camping and Touring Super show will be back in 2017.
